Teena Lyons
FOUNDER
Teena Lyons spent fifteen years as a news reporter and feature writer on national newspapers and consumer magazines before leaving Fleet Street in May 2006 to pursue a career as a ghostwriter with her business Professional Ghost. She has now collaborated on more than 80-books, including several bestsellers.
Teena helped achieve bestselling status with her very first ghostwriting project, On Leadership, in collaboration with ex-Asda chief executive and Royal Mail chairman Allan Leighton. Following the success of this book, Teena was invited to collaborate with Deborah Meaden of TV’s Dragons Den on her book Common Sense Rules. The book also went on to be a business bestseller. A collaboration with Starling Bank founder Anne Boden was named as The Times Business Book of the Year 2020 and praised as ‘A banking blockbuster’ by the Observer.
Since establishing herself as a ghostwriter, Teena has taken on a broad range of non-fiction work ranging from biographies to books on business, food, education, and crime. She’s also collaborated on fiction books, from historical romance to thrillers.
While many of her collaborations are written from scratch, following interviews with the author, Teena is also regularly called–upon to help established names to polish their books prior to publication.
Teena was one of the founding members of United Ghostwriters, a collective of leading UK ghostwriters.
